PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dynamically and efficiently add a new index without stopping a service to an application. SOLUTION: During the index initial production of a relational data base (DB) 40, an updating log to the DB 40 is stored in a log file 90. Then, after the index initial production, while the updating request of the DB 40 is reflected on an index 80 when data corresponding to the updating request are present in the index 80, the updating request is stored in a work index 100 when the corresponding data are not present in the index 80. Also, at the time of successively reflecting the stored updating logs on the index 80, while the updating log is neglected when the data corresponding to the updating log are stored in the work index 100, the updating log is reflected on the index 80 when the corresponding data are not stored in the work index 100.
