PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring device, capable of registering a tire recognition mark without erroneously registering electric waves from an adjoining vehicle. SOLUTION: This tire air pressure monitoring device is provided with tire air pressure sensors A, B, C, and D, respectively installed on tires 1, 2, 3, and 4, and a receiver and a tire discrimination mark registration means to register in ID installed on the vehicle side. The receiver is composed of tuners (1), (2), (3), and (4) with an antenna, set in the same number as that of the tires respectively at close positions to the tires. The tire discrimination mark registration means receiving electric waves transmitted from the transmitter of the tire air pressure sensor by the tuner with the antenna reads intensity of the receives waves at least twice at different time from one frame of the transmitted signals, and takes it as a potential ID to be registered only in a case where relation of the intensity of the receives electric waves read at different time is similar to each other.
