PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power generating facility installed with ease and at low cost without lowering available head. SOLUTION: This hydraulic power generating facility 1 is composed of an incline 6, a hoist 7, a hydraulic power generating unit 8, a water pipe 9, an exhaust pipe 12, and so on. The hydraulic power generating unit 8 is provided with a Francis turbine 21 and a hydraulic generator 22, and is formed watertightly by a case. The hydraulic power generating unit 8 is set on the incline 6, and the hoist 7 is set to the upper part of the incline 6. The wire 14 of the hoist 7 is connected to the hydraulic power generating unit 8, so that the hydraulic power generating unit 8 is elevatable. Water supplied from an arched dam 2 falls through the water pipe 9 and supplied to the Francis turbine in the hydraulic power generating unit 8, and electricity is generated by the hydraulic generator.
