PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive a transmission output without being affected by earth magnetism and an external magnetic field. SOLUTION: This detector/method has a transmission coil 3 attached to a reference portion to generate an alternating magnetic field by an alternating current, a reception coil 4 attached to an operation portion to detect the alternating magnetic field, and a synchronization detection circuit 6 for synchronization-detecting an oscillation waveform of an oscillator 1 for generating the alternating current and a reception waveform of the reception coil 4 for detecting the alternating magnetic field. The plurality of reception coils 4 is also provided in the different operation portion in the transmission coil 3, and a multiplexer 10 is provided to switch the plurality of reception coils 4.
