PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque wrench which can secure a smooth operation of a slider by preventing the intrusion of the dust into the inside of a grip portion from the clearance between the slider and the inside peripheral surface of the grip portion by reducing the clearance as small as possible, and can show a main scale so as to be exactly and easily read out, and can simply and quickly attach the main scale to the slider. SOLUTION: An adjusting screw 1 for setting a fastening torque and the slider 2, which advances and recedes in the axial direction by turning the adjusting screw 1 and has the main scale 3 thereon, are arranged in the grip portion 5. An inspection hole 11 for reading out the main scale 3 arranged on the slider 2 is formed on the grip portion 5. The main scale 3 is fixed to a sheet piece 13. The peripheral side surface of the cylindrical slider 2 is stepwise recessed by the depth nearly equal to the thickness of the sheet piece 13 so as to elongate in the peripheral direction.
