PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact container in which the closed state of a lid is maintained by a hinge unit without using a conventional lid locking mechanism nor spring member and the lid is easily opened with one hand by automatically turning it when it is turned to a fixed angle and stopping it at a prescribed position at the time of opening the lid by making a lid body turnable in a horizontal direction around a hinge member vertically arranged on the upper surface of a container main body and disposing the hinge unit capable of setting a rotating position to the hinge member. SOLUTION: The compact container is composed of a container body and the lid body attached to the container body via the hinge member.
