<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source having high mechanical strength and capable of emitting visible light excellently and capable of cooling the inside of a reflecting mirror effectively. <P>SOLUTION: The light source device is constructed of a high pressure discharge lamp 10 and a concave surface reflecting mirror 20. The concave surface reflecting mirror 20 is composed of a base body made of copper, iron or an alloy of these, an intermediate layer 40 having a heat absorbing function and a reflecting surface smoothing function, and a visible light reflecting layer 50 made of a dielectric multi-layer film formed on the intermediate layer 40, and has a sealing part cooling means 30 composed of a cooling part 31 arranged at the vicinity of a sealing part 12 of the high pressure discharge lamp 10 and a support part 32 installed in the concave surface reflecting mirror connected to the cooling part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
