The process involves primary air being led over a connection (2) in a distributing channel (1') and then fed into the room through an exit cross section part (7) in the channel as added air. The primary air is divided into two volume flows, the first volume (27) enters the room through an exit cross-section part (5) in the distributing channel. The second (28) is conditioned by means of a heat exchanger (17) and led into the room through an exit part (6) facing the window. When the heat exchanger is switched off, the whole volume flow enters the room via the first exit cross section.
