PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray foreign matter detector capable of easily carrying out sensitivity correction even during conveyance of a subject. SOLUTION: The X-ray foreign matter detector 1 is provided with an X-ray generator 5a irradiating an X-ray on a pipe 3b for detection conveying the subject, an X-ray detection sensor 5b arranged facing the X-ray generator 5a on another side of the pipe 3b for detection, and detecting an X-ray transmitting through the pipe 3b for detection following irradiation of the X-ray from the X-ray generator 5a, and a sensitivity correcting means 12a for determining a correction value for correcting sensitivity dispersion per each of a plurality of X-ray detecting elements included in the X-ray detection sensor 5b. When carrying out sensitivity correction of each element of the X-ray detection sensor 5b, the pipe 3b for detection and a casing 2 including a foreign matter detecting part 5 are relatively moved by using a moving mechanism 6, an X-ray is directly irradiated on the X-ray detection sensor 5b in a state with no pipe 3b for detection on the X-ray detection sensor 5b, and the correction value (a sensitivity coefficient) is determined by the sensitivity correcting means 12a.
