PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation method of an expansion stress of expansive concrete capable of estimating highly accurately an expansion stress value under temperature fluctuation caused by the heat of hydration. SOLUTION: This method includes (A) a process for determining an apparent expansion strain and an apparent Young's modulus by a relation expression between a plurality of restriction steel material ratios and an expansion strain value in each ratio under a prescribed material age and a temperature for the expansive concrete including the restriction steel materials as an object, (B) a process for performing the process (A) in a plurality of material ages and determining a relation curve between the material age and the apparent expansion strain (and the apparent Young's modulus), (C) a process for performing the process (B) at a plurality of temperatures and determining a relation curve between the material age and the apparent expansion strain at each temperature, (D) a process for determining a relation curve between the material age and the apparent expansion strain in consideration of a temperature history from the relation curve determined in the process (C) and the temperature history of the expansive concrete, and (E) a process for estimating the expansion stress from the relation curve determined in the process (D) and the relation curve between the material age and the apparent Young's modulus determined in the process (B).
