MEDIUM HANDLING APPARATUS

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium handling apparatus capable of processing a plurality of kinds of media in a simultaneous and parallel fashion, while keeping fast processing of bills unaffected by slow processing speeds of media other than bills. SOLUTION: The media handling apparatus capable of handling both bills and non-bill media includes a dedicated bill passage 3b used in conveying only bills, connected to a handling port 2 where both bills and non-bill media can be commonly handled, and connected to a common passage 3a used in conveying both bills and non-media bills; a dedicated non-bill media passage 3c used in conveying only non-bill media and connected to the common passage; a bill/non-bill media allocating means 5a for allocating media to different passages as they are conveyed over the common passage; bill allocating means 5b-5f for allocating bills to different bill passages according to the kinds and conditions of bills; and a non-bill media allocating means for allocating non-bill media to different non-bill media passages according to the kinds of non-bill media.
