Compressor (50) comprises a central driveshaft (1) which drives a pair of crankshafts (5, 6) via a toothed wheel gear with a connecting rod (8, 11) arranged on each crankshaft. The connecting rod of each crankshaft is connected to a piston rod running in a non-linear manner. The piston rod is sealed from the housing of the compressor using a piston rod seal. The piston rod is connected to a piston which is moved in a cylinder (34, 37) to produce compressed air. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) I.C. engine with the above compressor; and (2) Vehicle with a compressor. Preferred Features: The crankshafts are synchronous.
