Cable management system for offices and the like, with partition wall elements, said parti­tion wall elements being respectively formed from a supporting frame, said frame compris­ing posts and crossbeams, said cross beams being interconnected with posts and forming receptacle rooms between one another for the cable management, said supporting frame being covered with wall panels on at least one front surface, said wall panels outwardly covering the spacings of adjacent crossbeams, said wall panels further being interconnected with posts and/or crossbeams preferably by fastening clips and forming the visible front surface of said partition wall element, whereby said system comprises at least one tray-like cover, said cover outwardly protruding over the front surface of said partition wall element and forming an additional receptacle chamber prefixed to the front surface of said partition wall element, said receptacle chamber outwardly enlarging said receptacle room for the ca­ble management, wherein said tray-like cover is open on both sides and is bridging the spac­ing between crossbeams, and wherein said cover is tiltably linked onto a lower crossbeam with a tiltable joint interconnection and detachably interconnected in locking position with an upper crossbeam.
