<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water base printing ink composition which is excellent in fluidity, shelf life and printing performance such as leveling in printing, transferring, and waterproofing. <P>SOLUTION: The water base printing composition comprises a pigment, a resin and a water base medium as the indispensable components, wherein, for the resin, a water base resin emulsion is contained at a solid rate of 15-40 wt% in the water base printing composition and a poly(ethylene oxide/propylene oxide) block polymer is contained at a solid rate of 0.2-1.0 wt%.
