An opening window system, especially for a servo operated window for a vehicle has the window pane held in supports which move along profiled guide tracks and which is driven by a servo motor and cable drives. The guide tracks have shaped depressions or raised profiles to define the movement limits of the system. The supports run onto the end stops with a damping action.
