PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing granulated blast furnace slag with the reduction of the concentration of chlorine in the granulated blast furnace slag. SOLUTION: In the manufacture of the granulated blast furnace slag by blowing cooling water used to be circulated with the replenishment of replenishing water to a molten slag produced in the manufacture of a pig iron using a blast furnace, the granulated blast furnace slag is manufactured by controlling the concentration of chlorine in the cooling water in the circulation use so that the chlorine concentration of the granulated blast furnace slag becomes≤0.02%.
