PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display device and a manufacturing method for the same for improving packaging by uniform formation of a sealant. SOLUTION: The display comprises a substrate 102 with an organic electroluminescent array formed thereon, including an anode electrode 104 and a cathode electrode 112 formed so as to intercept with each other while sandwiching an organic electroluminescent layer thereby; a cap 128 connected to a seal line area (P3) of the substrate 102 with a sealant 125; many signal lines connected to any one of the electrodes 104, 112 and positioned on the area (P3); and a dummy insulating pattern 107 at, least a part of which is positioned on the area (P3) and formed to cover at least one of the many signal lines.
