The fastening system for connecting headlamp mountings to vehicle bodywork comprises a bush (2) which fits into a bore in the bodywork. A bolt passes through a bore in the bush with some play. The bush has pairs of sloping ribs (16a, 16b) on its outer surface which produce a snug fit in the bore. An independent claim is included for the bush.
