A method of controlling access to a secure service by means of a removable security device comprises the steps of connecting said removable security device with a system capable of performing a secure service; detecting that a connection between said removable security device and said device capable of performing a secure service has been established; disconnecting said removable security device from said system capable of performing a secure service; re- connecting said removable security device with said system capable of performing a secure service; detecting that a re-connection between said removable security device and said system capable of performing a secure service has been established; and granting a requested secure service if the establishment of a re-connection between said removable security device and said system capable of performing a secure service has been detected.
