<p>A freeze-dried composition of an inactivated virus envelope having membrane fusion activity which can be stored at higher temperatures while retaining the ability to introduce foreign matters; and a method of introducing foreign matters into cells, the method attaining the higher ability to introduce foreign matters. The freeze-dried composition, which is for introducing foreign matters, comprises an inactivated virus envelope having membrane fusion activity and one or more stabilizers selected from the group consisting of protein hydrolyzates, leucine, an L-arginine acid salt, and polysaccharides. The method for foreign matter introduction comprises using the freeze-dried composition of an inactivated virus envelope having membrane fusion activity.</p> |
