<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generating apparatus for efficiently utilizing a natural force and an artificial force and obtaining electric energy. <P>SOLUTION: The power generating apparatus 1 includes a structure 2 as a raising base 5 and a pole 6, and a power generating unit 3 for supporting the structure 2. The power generating unit 3 includes a plurality of unimorph elements 11 for generating power by flection, holding members 12 for movably holding a plurality of the unimorph elements 11, guiding members 13 displaceably disposed between the unimorph elements 11, and linking members 14 for linking and holding a plurality of the guiding members 13. When a wind force acts on a flag 8 raised on the pole 6, a force for inclining the pole 6 displaces the linking members 14, and the guiding members 13 bend the unimorph elements 11.
