<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting display panel capable of assuring a larger aperture ratio by suppressing an increase in a circuit scale of the display panel in the case respective color pixels are made into a diagonal type array or delta type array. <P>SOLUTION: Three power source supply lines for respectively supplying driving voltages VR, VG and VB are arrayed corresponding to one column of the sub-pixels. As a result, such array acts to secure the difference in light emission efficiency of the EL elements constituting the respective color pixels of R, G and B. On the other hand, one common data line is included in correspondence to the one column of the sub-pixels and is so constituted that lighting drive data signals Ds are supplied to the respective sub-pixels by each of the columns through the data line. The respective pixels are subjected to gradation expression by controlling the light emission time of the El elements disposed in the pixels. According to such configuration, the number of the data lines in the display panel can be reduced and a contribution can be made to an increase in the aperture ratio of the each pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
