A starter motor 100 of an all-terrain vehicle 10 is arranged in an area toward the front of the vehicle with respect to a vertical line L1 including a centre point of a crankshaft 40 of an engine 12, downwardly of a horizontal line L2 including the centre point of the crankshaft 40 of the engine 12, and upwardly of a horizontal line L3 including a lowermost portion of the crankcase 32 of the engine 12 in the vehicle. In this way, a minimum road clearance is secured, and the lowering of the centre of gravity and adequate weight distribution of the all terrain/ off road vehicle can be achieved. The engine may have a cam 34A for driving intake and exhaust valves 32A, 32B. |
