PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized product packaging/coating apparatus which does not stain a product and the fingers, and a method for using it. SOLUTION: This packaging/coating apparatus 1 has a container 2 wherein a recess 6 is formed; the recess includes a measured quantity of product P and defines an opening 4 which can communicate with the recess; and the container is integrated with a porous coating part 12. The coating part is at least partially positioned in the recess when the opening is closed with a cover piece 7, and is at least partially exposed via the opening when the opening is closed with the cover piece 7. In the packaging/coating apparatus, a support member 9 having a rigidity higher than that of the cover piece and partially extended around the opening is integrated with the cover piece.
