<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information management system allowing stabilization of reading operation to efficiently acquire position information, and allowing traffic line management or location management of a person or a robot at low cost without requiring laying of a new LAN cable. <P>SOLUTION: The person or the robot working in a workplace is made to possess an RFID card disposed with an RFID tag storing specific ID information, and a large number of readers each communicable with the RFID tag are disposed on a ceiling, a wall face or the like inside the workplace at proper intervals. The large number of readers and a server are LAN-connected by power line feeding by an emergency light power line, and the position information of the person or the robot present in the workplace is acquired by performing analysis process of ID information detected by the large number of readers by the server. The server and a position information management center are connected via a network, and the position information and time when acquiring the position information are stored in a database to perform unitary management such as the location management or the traffic line management. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
