<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil, the sense of stability at the grasping of which is favorable and which has a low moment of inertia. <P>SOLUTION: In a retractable writing utensil equipped with a delivering mechanism comprised of a rotary cam for retracting and extending the writing tip part of a writing body slidably arranged in a barrel and energized towards the rear end of the barrel by springs through the opening part at the tip of the barrel by depressing a push-button body under the condition that a cam groove for slidingly guiding back and forth and turning the rotary cam is formed on the inner surface of the barrel so as to slidably arrange the rotary cam in the cam groove and a push rod having a cam part to slide and give rotation to the rotary cam at its tip is provided at the rear end of the rotary cam, the centroid of the whole retractable writing utensil, that of the rotary cam and that of the push rod locate at a position corresponding to the grasping part of the barrel under the state that the writing tip part has been extended. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
