PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water passage of an engine with a heat reserve system capable of shortening time for water filling work and filling up a heat reserve tank by natural water filling. SOLUTION: In this cooling water passage of the engine with a heat reserve system, a cooling water output port 21 to the heat reserve tank 20 from the engine 1 is arranged in a cooling water passage in an engine cylinder block side of a thermostat 7 out of cooling water passages communicating to an engine cylinder block lower end part or engine cylinder block lower end part and at a position higher than a heat reserve tank. At least part of the cooling water passage between the cooling water output port 21 and an electric water pump 23 is inclined to a direction lowering as it gets closer to the heat reserve tank. A water passage switching valve 25 is arranged at a position higher than the cooling water output port 21. A passage to a cooling water filling port 15 from a cooling water passage 24 connecting the heat reserve tank and the water passage switching valve is constructed to make air released through the cooling water passage at a time of water filling for cooling water replacement.
