<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing control device that can effectively use special paper by comparing the number of sheets requested to be output of an accepted print job with the number of sheets of accommodated special paper in the case where the printing is performed on an expensive, special paper obtained by applying a specific treatment to a paper for printing of a normal document, and to provide a method and a program. <P>SOLUTION: After a print job including a kind of paper to be printed is received to be identified by a kind identification section 102, the number of sheets to be printed of the received print job is calculated by a request sheet number calculation section 103. The number of sheets to be accommodated of printing paper with respect to the kind identified by the kind identification section 102 is detected by an accommodation sheet number detection section 105 and the number of sheets to be shorted is calculated by a shortage sheet number calculation section 106 from the request number of sheets and the accommodation number of sheets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
