PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross member structure of a rear seat rear part reducing an injury value of an occupant's buttocks caused by a cross member fitted with locking fittings for mounting a child seat, in case of a read-end collision without degrading sitting comfort. SOLUTION: In the structure of the cross member 5 extending in the cross direction of a vehicle body on a rear floor panel 4 behind a rear seat cushion 2 and fitted with the locking fittings 19 for fixing the child seat, plates 20 with at least one face side facing the occupant's buttocks are provided at the parts of the cross member 5 located near the buttocks of the occupant seated on the rear seat cushion 2.
