PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus in which image composition processing for displaying a plurality of images at the same time is easily performed. SOLUTION: One line each of a first image data 14a and a second image data 14b stored in an image memory 14 is read out and a reading means 22 arranged at a different position on the same line is provided and based on the image data which is read out by the reading means 22, an image by the first image data and an image by the second image data are displayed side by side in one screen.
