The non-explodable solid fuel boiler (1) for heating systems has an expansion volume (8a) built into it so that water up to 90 degrees C can expand without overpressurizing. The water at 105 degrees C opens a sealing cover (7) on the water extraction connector (14) and so quenches the fire with saturated steam, thereby preventing the occurrence of an explosion. The saturated steam at high pressure is directed into the fire chamber through a shaft (6) and smoke flue to quench the fire, and any residual condensate in the collecting pan is disposed off so that a temperature of about 105 degrees is not exceeded.
