PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve-timing control device in which variation in cam torque generated in a camshaft is utilized for exercising an appropriate valve-timing control corresponding to conditions of engine operation.
SOLUTION: A 1st mechanism including a 1st one-way clutch 30a and a 1st slide rotor 31a is switchable between a state in which out of relative rotations of the camshaft 13, only a relative rotation to the retarding side is inhibited, and a state in which by utilizing variation in cam torque, at least a relative rotation to the retarding side is allowed. A 2nd mechanism including a 2nd one-way clutch 30b and a 2nd slide rotor 31b is switchable between a state in which out of relative rotations of the camshaft 13, only a relative rotation to the advancing side is inhibited, and a state in which by utilizing variation in cam torque at least a relative rotation to the advancing side is allowed. The above mechanisms are controlled by an ECU 41 respectively in the above states.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
|
