A parts mounting apparatus which can reduce its manufacturing cost with a simple constitution and which can improve the parts mounting rate drastically. The apparatus comprises a holding means (20) for holding and moving parts (M) horizontally, and a positioning means (26) having a slope portion for positioning the parts (M) held on the holding means by bringing the parts (M) into contact with the slope portion.
