The invention relates to a water-soluble film for releasing active substance s, particularly plant protection products and plant growth promoting substances . The water-soluble film can be defined with regard to its dimensions so that the content of the active substance can be exactly pre-dosed in such a defin ed film section. The release of the active substance or of the active substance combination from the water-soluble film ensues in a controlled manner by the action of water. The soil, standing and flowing water, surfaces of plants an d other objects make up the environment.
