PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for increasing the diameter of a crossing barrier rod that can be mounted to an existing crossing barrier rod, is light, has working easiness in mounting, and has high impact resistance. SOLUTION: The unit 1 for increasing the diameter of the crossing barrier rod is mounted on the outside of the crossing barrier rod by gripping the crossing barrier rod with a cylindrical body formed of two half cylindrical members 10. The body is supported on the crossing barrier rod by a supporting section fixed to the inner peripheral surface of the body 10. A plurality of units 1 for increasing the diameter of the crossing barrier rod are mounted to the outside according to the length of the existing crossing barrier rod 2 to increase the diameter of the crossing barrier rod, thereby improving the visibility.
