SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REAL-TIME AUDIO-VISUAL COMMUNICATION AND DATA COLLABORATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for facilitating real-time information exchange inside a multimedia conferencing environment.

SOLUTION: A data client facilitates data collaboration between a plurality of users and is maintained separately from an AV client which provides real-time communication functionality. Data clients can be positioned each other and remotely to a server. A remote user deputy device is provided and this device comprises a digital automatic pan/tilt/zoom camera which captures an image on a display for presenting a remote user for a local user and provides real-time information to an AV client inside a remote office, and a microphone array for providing real-time audio information from a conference room to the AV client inside the remote office.
