摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flowmeter capable of reducing a pressure loss by providing a contraction part 8 in a by-path passage 6, and capable of restraining an air flow from being separated or brought into turbulence in the vicinity of a sensing part 4. <P>SOLUTION: The contraction part 8 is provided in a measuring body 3 to reduce a passage width of a flow-in passage 6a. The contraction part 8 has the first contraction part 8a for reducing the passage width of the flow-in passage 6a gradually toward a flowing direction of measuring air, and the second contraction part 8b with a passage with expanded step-differently more than the narrowest part B, in just downstream of the narrowest part B where the passage width of the first contraction part 8a gets narrowest. The second contraction part 8b is provided continuously to the first contraction part 8a with a step-difference part 8c therebetween, and a height from a body inner face is made constant over the full length of the second contraction part 8b. The pressure loss is reduced thereby, the air flow is restrained from being separated or brought into the turbulence in the vicinity of the sensing part 4, and an output is obtained stably. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
