<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergent sheet capable of converging light to be diffused and made incident from a light source within the target range of outgoing angle, to provide a convergent sheet unit comprising the convergent sheet and to provide a surface light source device provided with the convergent sheet unit. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of unit shapes 121 of which the cross-sectional shape is approximately trapezoidal are arranged side by side in the sheet surface direction on the side of a cathode ray tube 13 between an LCD panel 11 and the cathode ray tube 13. The convergent sheet 12 on which a convergent lens array 123 having the cross-sectional shape vertical to the unit shape, being approximately right isosceles triangle, is arranged is disposed and, thereby, diffusion illumination light from the cathode ray tube 13 is made convergent and the utilization efficiency of light as backlight is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
