The method involves placing a packaging device in a microwave oven, and increasing temperature of a cosmetic product by subjecting the product to a microwave radiation within the oven. The product is applied by an applicator of the packaging device that is provided with a thermal insulator. The applicator is previously detached from a product container when the product is subjected to the radiation. An independent claim is also included for a packaging device to be heated in a microwave oven.
