Process and device for examination of fibers

The method involves tying a fiber (11) between two clamping devices (22, 43), and displacing the fiber into a curved condition for exposing the fiber to a compressive load, such that the fiber is led to bend. The fiber rotates around its curved centerline. The fiber is supported with a thrust bearing at an end, where the bearing is tiltable perpendicularly at an axis and freely adjustable by the strength of the fiber. An independent claim is also included for a device for examination of fibers.
