PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively decompose vaporized fuel generated in an intake system of an engine. SOLUTION: This intake system device for an engine 1 is provided with an intake passage 5 for air taken into the engine 1 to flow, and a surge tank 14 to calm pulsation of air taken into the engine 1. In the surge tank 14, a photocatalyst device 31 is provided. The photocatalyst device 31 is provided with a casing including a cover formed of light transmitting material, photocatalyst provided on an outer surface of the cover to decompose vaporized fuel as light is radiated to oxidize it, and a UV LED provided on the casing to transmit light from the inside of the cover through the cover to radiate light to the photocatalyst.
