PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll fluid machine solving various problems, by simply superposing the ends of a dust seal and only fitting to a dust seal groove without applying special machining to the dust seal in the scroll fluid machine. SOLUTION: The annular dust seal groove 31 having mostly a constant width, however, having a wide part of a proper length approximately twice the width of the constant width in one part in a circumferential direction is formed in either of front surfaces of a scroll. The string-like dust seal 32 having circumferential length to which the circumferential length of the wide part is added is fitted to the dust seal groove 31. Both the ends of the dust seal 32 are superposed in the wide part 30, and also abut on or approach a circumferential tip end surface in the wide part 30. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
