PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner of a small grain size having a sharp grain size distribution which can be manufactured without requiring a classification process or a two-component developer. SOLUTION: The volume average grain size of toner parent particulates is 3 to 7μm, the content of toner parent particles having a grain size of 2.52 to 4μm in a number distribution is 5 to 65 pieces%, and the toner parent particles having a grain size of 6.35 to 10.1μm in a volume distribution is 5 to 35vol%. The external additive is an inorganic powder of an average particle size ranging from 6 to 200 nm, is added in an range of 1.0 to 6 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight toner parent. The carrier is compound magnetic particles composed of a cured binder resin and magnetic substance particulates, wherein the content of the magnetic substance particulates is 80 the 99wt% and a number average particle size is 20 to 50μm. In addition, the carrier contains magnetic particles and has the configuration in which the surfaces of the compound magnetic particles are coated with a fluorine modified silicone resin containing an amino silane coupling agent.
