PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive charge type color toner which is excellent in offset resistance, is also excellent in toner characteristics, such as color reproducibility, color developability, transmissibility, low-temperature fixability, sharp meltability, blocking resistance, electrostatic chargeability, and grindability, and can form satisfactory developed images for a long period of time without using a bisphenol A as a component of a polyester resin in the toner or its derivative. SOLUTION: The positive charge type color toner contains a binder resin and a pigment wherein the binder resin is a linear polyester resin with an acid component composed of (1) heteregeneouos rosin and (2) terephthalic acid and/or isophthalic acid and an alcohol component composed of (3) glycidyl ether of ternary fatty acid and (4) 2-10C aliphatic diol and having an acid value smaller than 10 mgKOH/g and≥20 mgKOH/g hydroxyl value and the average primary particle size of the pigment is 20 to 100 nm.
