<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing system and method for acquiring information related with business form attributes or data processing, and for performing correct data processing even when the information is not electronically stored and a digital pen and special paper to be used for them. <P>SOLUTION: This data processing system is provided with a data processor 102 for printing a generated dot pattern and code, a specific paper 105 printed with the dot pattern and code and a digital pen 103 for reading the dot pattern to acquire written contents in the specific paper as digital handwritten data, and for reading and decoding the code to acquire predetermined information.
