The method involves generating heat by a burner (15), and transferring heat energy from a working medium to another medium by a heat transducer (16). An expansion machine (18) expands high-energy working medium under working efficiency on a shaft (22). The efficiency of a steam cyclic process is adjusted to a load that lies against the shaft. The efficiency adjustment takes place before the change of the load.
