摘要 <p>The present invention discloses a waveguide rotary joint structure using a circular waveguide transformer which can improve productivity, provide a wide bandwidth and improve insertion loss characteristics, by simplifying a rotary joint for transforming a transmission mode in a waveguide structure of a radar antenna. In a rotary joint for transforming a transmission mode of a rectangular waveguide into a transmission mode of a circular waveguide and re-transforming the transmission mode of the circular waveguide into the transmission mode of the rectangular waveguide, a waveguide rotary joint structure using a circular waveguide transformer is comprised of first and second rectangular waveguides including a first transmission path having a predetermined width and height, and a second transmission path having a predetermined diameter and being formed at a right angle to the end of the first transmission path, respectively, and a circular waveguide coupled to the second transmission path according to coupling of the first and second rectangular waveguides and operated as the waveguide transformer, so that the transmission mode from the rectangular waveguide can be transformed into the transmission mode of the circular waveguide. A diameter of both ends of the circular waveguide is larger than that of a center, and a boundary surface of a curved part of the first transmission path and the second transmission path is formed so that the first transmission path can be inclined to one side (q) on the boundary surface of the second transmission path to close part of an opening of the second transmission path. Chokes for preventing leakage of a microwave are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the center of the second transmission path.</p>
