A method of hydrofining hydrocarbon raw materials, consisting in contacting a raw material with hydrogen and a catalyst. It is characterised in that a raw material is contacted with hydrogen on a catalyst, which contains molybdenum and/or cobalt nitride or oxynitride, or nickel nitride or oxynitride. The process is carried out at the temperature of 613-683 K under the pressure of 2.0-10 Mpa, at the rate of 0.5-10 m3> of the raw material per cubic meter of the catalyst per hour.
