PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a signal which is capable of easily attracting a user's attention in all environments including noisy and vibratory environments. SOLUTION: A signal generator 1 is provided with a sensor 11 for detecting a movement of the user, a feature extraction part 12 for extracting features of the movement from a detection value of the sensor, a signal generation part 13 for generating a signal according to the features, a signal presenting part 14 for presenting the generated signal to the user, and a signal generation control part 15. The signal generation control part 15 outputs a signal at a timing of the movement of the user, outputs a signal a moment after the timing of the movement of the user, or output a signal synchronized with the timing of the movement of the user and a signal asynchronized with it together in response to the occurrence of an event to be reported to the user, in an electronic apparatus or a machine device by using a signal synchronized with the movement, a signal asynchronized with the movement, and a signal partially synchronized and partially asynchronized with the movement, which are generated in accordance with the feature quantity of the movement of the user.
