<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device for an engine capable of regenerating a filter with appropriate frequency. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device for an engine is provided in an exhaust passage of the engine, and provided with the filter 18 to be regenerated by eliminating particular material caught by the filter. This exhaust emission control device is provided with a differential pressure detecting means 22 for detecting differential pressure between the upstream side and downstream side of the filter 18, a flow detecting means 12 for obtaining exhaust gas flow passing through the filter 18, a map having a threshold value 31 corresponding to the relation between the differential pressure and the exhaust gas flow when the filter 18 is clogged, a determining means 11 for determining regeneration of the filter 18 when the differential pressure detected by the differential pressure detecting means 22 and corresponding to the exhaust gas flow detected by the flow detecting means exceeds the threshold value 31 of the map, and an inhibiting means 11 for inhibiting determination by the determining means 11 when the exhaust gas flow detected by the flow detecting means 12 is the predetermined value 34 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
